MacHeist and the ethics of software discounts

Call it what it is: You’re willingly accepting a license that will result in the developer earning almost no money.

Therefore, you’re not really supporting these developers: you’re telling them that you don’t value their work enough to pay full price, but you’re going to use their software anyway.

I just bought the MacHeist 3 bundle a couple of hours ago and now Marco publishes this! If only I’d read this earlier, I would have steered clear. Oh, well…

I’ve decided though that I will individually purchase those applications that I find myself using frequently enough, even though I have technically purchased them legally already with this bundle.
