I’m probably supposed to keep this secret and build everyone’s anticipation to hype this up. Oh well. Maybe I’ll do that for the Instapaper edition for Apple’s next revolutionary computing platform.
First: Instapaper is definitely coming to iPad.
Second: Instapaper is coming to iPad very soon. Possibly even on day one — yes, I’m going for it — but that’s optimistic.
After having seen all the swanky new user interfaces for Apple’s iPad applications, I’d expected a little more of a UI flourish from third-party developers as well and therefore this post leaves me a tad disappointed. I understand the logic behind Marco’s decision though and I think it is the right move to make. Having Instapaper on the iPad on day one with a utilitarian and familiar user interface is better than not having it at all. I’m sure he’ll make some forward strides with UI design when he has the device in his hands.
