Twitter has partnered with Airtel to bring SMS support for the service to “every city, every village, every remote taluk and even the smallest panchayat” in India at standard rates (ridiculously cheap outgoing and free incoming). What’s more, India is only the fifth country that Twitter has brought this service to yet, which is something you don’t normally see in the tech world (take a hint, Apple).
