goobimama:

An interesting experiment by ABC.

Couple of things of note:

  • Watch the entire video if you do.
  • There are some sick people in this world, there are some good people in this world, and there are those who don’t give a ****.
  • An interesting comment from YouTube: has anyone noticed that girls always start to cry whenever they find out they’re on TV?

I prefer not to link to or mark as favourite posts that contain profanity but this one from Milind is just too good to pass up. The video is about racism in America and is an experiment conducted by ABC. There are two actors in it—an American storekeeper and an American muslim woman who plays the customer.

The experiment is about the reactions (or lack thereof) of the other customers in the store as the storekeeper blatantly discriminates against the muslim woman under the shroud of patriotism. It really is an amazing video, with the best part being how an aged gentleman tries to come to the woman’s aid and, when told by the shopkeeper that he was being anti-American, proudly tells him how his son just returned after serving for a year in Iraq.
