shrenique:

The distant roll of the thunder
Is making tremors in my being.
The clouds have come together
And the skies are darkening.

The first paragraph is not nearly as good as the second one. I’ve purposely left it out so that you go visit Shrenique’s blog and read it there. And read some of the other verbose and very well written posts as well. This is a student becoming the teacher kind of a situation—even though it was I who introduced him to blogging and Twitter and kept egging him on to start taking them seriously (even going so far as to try and guilt him into doing it), he’s left me behind now with his well thought out and meaningful posts. My own writing skills are not nearly as good as his (although they are more refined, thanks to a little more experience).
All of which form a major part of the reason I really want his blog to get noticed. So please do check it out if you have a few minutes to spare. Oh and do read the rest of that poem—I think it’s terrific!
