Mosey Along, There’s Nothing to See Here

Yesterday, I shut the doors on what was the former home of Penned Thoughts. The last post just wouldn’t get published properly for some reason, so here it is in its entirety:

You’ve reached the end of the Internet. If you’re reading this page, you’ve seen everything there was to see, heard everything there was to hear, and done everything there was to do. Congratulations!

No? Well, OK, maybe not you, but this blog certainly has. It has grown old and weak in the knees and, as sad as it may be, it has to be put down. Penned Thoughts, in its current avatar, will now be killed and laid to rest.

Why, you ask? It’s because iWeb sucks as a blogging platform. No, wait, iWeb sucks. Period. The only reason I’d decided to go with iWeb instead of WordPress was because (a) I’m an Apple fanboy; and (b) I’d was already paying an annual fee for using MobileMe and didn’t want any of its services to go to waste.

But I’ve now realised that it was a stupid decision and have finally gathered the will to put an end to the madness. Henceforth, Penned Thoughts will move to what is currently my other blog, The Li’l things, powered by Tumblr. I’ll change http://tumblr.aayush.me to simply http://aayush.me and rename the little fella to “Penned Thoughts”.

If you ever want to come visit this old, broken down place after the move, it will always be reachable at http://web.me.com/aayush/, at least for the foreseeable future. And I’ll be putting a link to it on the new blog, just for nostalgia’s sake. And, of course, I can always be reached via e-mail or on Facebook or Twitter.

With that out of the way, let us solemnly proceed to the gunning down and the cremation ceremony…

BANG! ::followed by whatever sound a burning pyre makes::

That was Penned Thoughts being killed and laid to rest (well, burnt, actually, what with me being a Hindu and all). Don’t worry though; like a phoenix, it will rise from its ashes and dazzle you with its newfound glory. Stay tuned.

Aayush
